| American Model Yachting Association | A 40 year old, not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting the designing, building, racing, and preservation of all model sailing yachts, and membership is open to all who are interested in these activities. Their official classes of racing yachts cover the range from one foot to eight feet in length and from high tech developmental boats to affordable one designs. There really is something for every taste and skill level. The advantages of sailing a recognized class boat are the community of like-minded skippers and the depth of technical information and assistance they can provide. |
| Canadian Radio Yachting Association | The Canadian Radio Yachting Association is Canada’s governing authority for radio sailing. As such it is a delegated member of the International Radio Sailing Association (IRSA). Besides being Canada’s radio sailing authority, and all the technical administration that comes with that authority, the CRYA brings together people from all parts of Canada to enjoy a sport that can be enjoyed by young and old. |

The Soling One Meter Class is the largest class in the American Model Yachting Association (AMYA). The Soling One Meter is a kit-based one-design class scale-model boat based on the former Olympic-class keelboat of the same name. All hulls, decks, keels, and rudders are produced by a single manufacturer. This uniformity makes the Soling One Meter a one design class. One of the major goals of a one design class is to make all boats as equal as possible so who wins the race is based more on the ability of the skipper rather than on the boat itself. | The EC12 is a one-design radio controlled yacht about 59 inches in length, a mast standing 72 inches above the deck, supporting about 1300 square inches of sail and weighing around 24 pounds. | |
| J Class Model Yachts | The J Class models are 1/16th scale hulls of the J Class yachts that sailed for the America´s Cup from 1930 through 1937 as well as the yachts that were converted to the J Class and competed with the America´s Cup yachts in club regattas. The models are the largest recognized class in the AMYA with hull lengths ranging from about 7 feet in length to 8 1/2 feet in length and weighing between 65 and 115 pounds. |
